Sølve Sundsbø

Norwegian-born and London-based, Sølve Sundsbø is distinguished by his visionary approach to photography and film, fusing cutting-edge technology with an artistic sensibility that transforms the ordinary into the otherworldly. From 3D scanning to hand-painted retouching, Sundsbø embraces a wide range of techniques, making him one of the most versatile image-makers in contemporary fashion.  

Sundsbø has contributed to Harper’s Bazaar Italia, i-D, LOVE, The New York Times Magazine, Numéro, Perfect, Re-Edition, V, Vogue Italia and W. In 2011, Sundsbø was awarded an Emmy for his New York Times project, 14 Actors Acting, recognized in the New Approaches to News and Documentary category.  

His commercial collaborations have resulted in iconic images and films created for Bulgari, Cartier, Chanel, Estée Lauder, Giorgio Armani, Gucci, Guerlain, Hermès, Lancôme, Louis Vuitton, Narciso Rodriguez, Prada, Thierry Mugler and Tom Ford 

Sundsbø has also created artwork for numerous album covers, including for Coldplays A Rush of Blood to the Head, which was later immortalized as a Royal Mail stamp honoring iconic British album covers.  

Sundsbø’s work has been exhibited worldwide, including within his solo exhibition, Beyond the Still Image (2018) at Milan’s Palazzo Reale. He received critical acclaim for his photographs of the Alexander McQueen archive, shot for the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s exhibition, Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty (2011). His work is held in the permanent collection of the National Portrait Gallery in London.
