Katie Burnett

Katie Burnett is a stylist and creative consultant known for her audacious, playful and experimental image making. Collaborating closely with photographers, brands, casting directors and talent, Burnett crafts visual stories that defy convention. Her approach is eclectic, drawing inspiration from a wide range of sources, including contemporary art, 1940s photography and the quotidian props she introduces to surreal and fantastical effect. Her work is celebrated for its complexity, rich textures and bold renderings of shape and form.

Burnett studied studio art in the United States and London, where she began her career. Her editorial clients include D la Repubblica, System, System Beauty, Acne Paper, M Le magazine du Monde, American, Italian and French Vogue, W and Double. She has worked with photographers such as Sam Rock, Carlijn Jacobs, Oliver Hadlee Pearch, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin, Julien Martinez Leclerc, Theo Sion, Collier Schorr and Harley Weir. Her brand collaborations include Hermès, Jacquemus, Chanel, Calvin Klein, Gucci, Alaïa and Byredo.

In addition to her work as a stylist, Burnett is a prolific photographer. Her work has been exhibited at Amsterdam’s prestigious Ravestijn Gallery, and she has published several books, including Cabin Fever (APE, 2021), I Wash You Dry (Dashwood Books, 2022) and Curtains and Towels (Dashwood Books, 2023).
