Columbine Goldsmith is a director and photographer known for her witty and irreverent approach to storytelling. Her work is consistently polished and playfully eccentric, resulting in projects that are distinctive and memorable. One of Goldsmith’s strengths lies in her ability to connect with talent, earning their trust, which results in remarkable performances and visuals.
Goldsmith began taking pictures at the age of five, when her father gifted her a camera. After completing her studies at Wesleyan University, she assisted photographers Patrick Demarchelier, Norman Jean Roy and Sebastian Kim, and lived in Paris, where she began directing videos.
Goldsmith’s breakthrough came when a short film she directed for W magazine featuring Kendall Jenner went viral, propelling her into commercial projects with Google, Hermès, Dior, Calvin Klein, Longchamp, Tiffany & Co., Coach and Michael Kors. Her editorial clients include Vogue, i-D, Dazed and Vanity Fair.
Goldsmith is currently based in Los Angeles.
