Marie-Amélie Sauvé has been a pivotal figure in luxury fashion for over two decades, shaping trends and driving creative direction for iconic brands and publications. Her work spans brand direction, product innovation and image making with fashion’s most influential designers and photographers, helping to steer many houses to global success, both artistically and commercially.

Sauvé has mentored many young designers, including Julien Dossena, who described her fashion insight as “immediate, accurate, a mixture of experience and deep fashion culture, but without ever losing instinct and emotion.” Sauvé’s work with Diesel Black Gold led to remarkable success for the Renzo Rosso-owned brand. Her long-standing partnership with Nicolas Ghesquière helped, first, to transform Balenciaga into a brand that represented the height of fashion direction, and next, to shape Louis Vuitton into a critically acclaimed global megabrand for over a decade.

A prominent figure in the print media industry, Sauvé began her career at French Vogue. She has served as senior fashion editor at W magazine and fashion director of T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Her editorial work has also been featured in D la Repubblica and numerous international editions of Vogue.

In addition to Rabanne and Louis Vuitton, her commercial clients include Chanel and Hermès. She is also the founder and editor-in-chief of Mastermind, a magazine she describes as an “idea laboratory” for masters in art, design and culture, providing a platform for creative exploration and dialogue.
